I think the tape works great. I'm grateful for the option to purchase refills because it's so wasteful to throw the casing away every time I finish one.
This new and improved tape runner is top notch. It doesn't gum up, unwind, or skip. The dotted adhesive surface holds well and dispenses smoothly. The refill cartridge is simple to insert and remove. I like the smaller shape of the dispenser; it fits well in the hand of a female crafter.
This tape is PERFECT. No gooey mess. No guessing if the tape strip will turn. Just perfect for my crafting and card making projects. I could NOT have finished my holiday cards without it.

Love this tape runner. Why is the refill still out of stock? Please get it back in stock! I already have 3 units now I need refills for them.
